Stan and Ollie, fugitives from prison, find themselves pursued by a police officer armed with a shotgun. Their escape leads them to encounter two accomplices in a car, where they hurriedly swap their prison attire for street clothes, accidentally exchanging trousers in the process.

A mad scientist captures the attention of law enforcement agencies with his plan to conduct a medical experiment using a deceased body.
Professor's residence is visited by Stan and Ollie, who coincidentally seek sustenance. The professor offers the duo $500 to procure a cadaver from a nearby cemetery.
